3 Spots to Check Out for Your Next Date in Houston
By Manuela Domingos
Do you live in Houston? Are you completely excited about finding new places to visit or simply looking for a spot to take her out? Well, worry no more! Below I’ve compiled a list of places to check out for an ideal date. Perhaps this could get you started.
1. Bacchus Wine Bar and Coffee Shop. I’d recommend this casual wine bar/coffee shop for an afternoon date. If you’re not looking for something too fancy, but want to enjoy some nice wine or coffee and relax, take her here. This spot is intimate. It has an indoors seating area with eclectic art pieces. There’s also an outdoor seating area that you might enjoy. This spot is also perfect for study dates!
2. The Menil Collection. Chances are you’ve probably already visited the Menil Museum. If not, then I’d definitely recommend a date to the museum. It’s not just the museum that makes a fun, lighthearted, romantic date. What’s surrounding the Menil is perfect to check out, too! There’s places where you can rent a bike for as low as $5 and bike around the neighborhood. Also, enjoy a nice picnic by the Menil. There are cute book shops, photography venues and bars that you should definitely check out while you’re there. One of my favorite things to do is visit the Rothko Chapel every time I’m in the area.
3. Old Blue House Antique Shop. If you so happen to be in the Montrose area, don’t forget to stop by the “Old Blue House Antique Shop.” This place sells a collective of antiques that you and your date might find completely interesting! If you’re like me and absolutely love checking out new antique places, then I’d recommend this spot. Also an ideal place to take an artist or writer. You might get some inspiration while you’re here!
