The Reason You Have to See The Real Mona Lisa & The Must Visit Museum in Paris

By Manuela Domingos

Yesterday I had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Musée du Louvre. The Louvre is the world’s largest historic museum and one of the most visited museums in the entire world.

The Louvre is practically so large that it took us three hours to only see half of it.

We first saw the original Mona Lisa, which was painted by the Italian artist Leonardo Da Vinci. A research website describes the painting as "the best known, the most visited, the most written about, the most sung about, the most parodied work of art in the world. "

Surprisingly, the painting is much smaller in person than expected. I recall thinking this to myself three years ago when I first saw the painting. It’s almost practically impossible to get close to it since it’s guaranteed that a bustle of tourists is destined to be gathered around the painting in hopes of getting a picture with the famous Mona Lisa.

I definitely recommend any lover of art and sculptures to check out the museum, if they ever get the opportunity to visit Paris. This amazing museums holds one of the best works of art in history.

If you’re like others, who simply enjoys learning about the history of attractions without actually physically entering the location, then I’d recommend doing a Bateaux Mouche, which is a boat excursion that allows for a view of the city through the Seine river.

During this excursion, you get an overall history overview of points of attractions in Paris, like the famous Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Notre Dame de Paris, and much more.

I’d recommend doing the boat excursion during the night time, as this allows for a much more aesthetic ambiance in the city.

The eiffel tower is nearby, so if you’re still looking for an adventure, look into climbing the Eiffel Tower and enjoying a great meal!
