A trip to the beauty salon should feel like the ultimate treat yo'self experience. After all, every woman should feel like a queen ready to slay the day after getting glam. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. For example, just last week at a Memphis nail salon, one customer flagged a sign that targeted "overweight customers," noting they'd be forced to pay an extra service fee for pedicures. Excuse me?! That's discrimination and it's got to stop. Makeup artist Jamie Lopez, fed up with being treated differently in the beauty industry because of her size, Lopez decided to do something about it. So five years ago, she opened her own salon in L.A. called Babydoll Beauty Couture, which celebrates the beauty of full-figured women. After having success in California, Lopez is now expanding her business to Las Vegas.
