Want to know how she did it? Dive into our interview with her below.

Growing up what experiences, negative or positive, profoundly shaped who you are today?

During my teenage years, I experienced issues with my weight. Once I became a young adult, I started to notice how unhappy I was. I was constantly reminded of my size and it made me feel unattractive. I wanted to lose weight but I wanted to do it for me, not for others. Today, I’ve realized the importance of being comfortable in my skin.

How did you overcome those negative experiences or how are you dealing with them today?

Once I started loving me, for me, I knew then and only then that I had truly overcome. Yes, I’m ok with being a plus size woman.

If you were a statement piece, describe what that accessory would look like and how does it define who you are as a woman today?

The accessory would be a pair of sparkly earrings that are uniquely made. They could definitely be the conversation piece for the look. Being bold and different has shaped me into what I am today. Creativity has impacted my style in the most incredible way. My personality is defined by my unique look and, the confidence that comes with it has shaped me into the woman I am today.

How would you describe your signature style?

My style is sassy yet chic. I love to take a simple outfit and add my spin to it to demonstrate my signature look.

What distinguishes you from others in your industry?

My creativity and willingness to be different. I love to experiment with my style. It brings out my personality while boosting my confidence.

What advice would you give to someone who's struggling to find their sense of style?

My advice would be to first figure out what makes you, you. You must be able to answer: What’s your one thing? For example, my “one thing” is my shoes. People usually make shoe contact before eye contact with me. I’ve learned to build my look around what I’m most comfortable with. As time passes you can incorporate other accessories and pieces to your outfit in order to personalize your style. This is the first step to defining your unique look.

What plans do you have for 2017? What do you hope to have accomplished by the end of the year?

I plan to start my online store. I’ll be promoting on social media and the website soon…be on the lookout!
