How was your childhood? What experiences helped shape the young woman you are today?

Growing up, I always knew I was creatively different from the rest of the kids and I was bullied for that. I started art at a young age because it allowed me to get away and create a life that I wished I could live in at the time. The whole experience made me realize I am different and I always will be.

Do you struggle with any insecurities? If so, how do you work to overcome them?

As an artist, sometimes I have huge insecurities about my art. I have to remind myself that there's always going to be someone better so you just have to be confident in your work.

How old were you when you began painting? When did you realize you wanted to be an artist?

I started painting in the 7th grade when I was twelve years old. I realized I wanted to become an artist when I saw the smiles on people's faces whenever I would show them my work. Knowing that my art brings people joy motivates me to create more.

Who or what inspires your artwork?

My family and my best friends inspire my artwork. The main theme around my pieces are happiness, pride, and love. My memories with them help me create many ideas on canvas.

In the future, I hope to inspire others with my art and become a well-known artist.
